So sorry for any inconvience. The pictures from most of my post were deleted from my picasa album. I am slowly trying to get them back. It is hard to prioritize which post to do first. If you find a post that is with out photos please email and I will put that post at a higher priority. Thank you.

HomeMade Holidays {Neighbor Gifts} + 2 great printables

Neighbor Gifts for me are so hard. I rack my brain every year to think of something I haven't done or hasn't been done to me. It is so difficult.  I saw these flour sack towels and had an idea.
Here is what I came up with.

Supplies
Flour sack towels
Martha Stewart Paints
Martha Stewart Fabric Medium
Stencil
Stencil brush

Start by prewashing your towels and pressing the spot you will be stenciling.

I made my stencils using my silhoutte craft cutter and vinyl.
I tried using  Freezer Paper. I am not so great at using. My stencil was not to intricate so I was able to reuse it several times.

Place our stencil on and rub really well.

Mix your paint and fabric medium according to directions.

Dab brush into paint and lighty coat the brush.

Dab onto your towel creating print.

Pull the stencil off and let dry.

Let towel dry for at leat 12 hours.
Use Iron and press . Using heat will set the paint.  Keeping the stencil after washing.

I plan on wrapping a loaf of bread in my towel and giving one to my neighbor.
Who doesn't love fresh bread.  I have a wonderful homemade wheat bread recipe.  It is to die for.

Add a loaf of something great and wrap it up in your towel.

And then the tag.
(Don't judge. My rhyming is not great. Or so my husband says)
It reads:
A square piece of cloth has so many uses,
Like Wiping up messes or cleaning small faces.
Helping to bring food for a neighbor in need,
Or drying up tears when you bang up your knee.
It swaddle a baby, all snug and tight
When the guiding star glowed bright in the night.
Whatever it’s calling, its purpose is true
To serves as a gift from us to you

Here is another one of my favorites.
My kiddos love to make this and give it to there friends.

In a bowl mix oatmeal and red and silver glitter.
Or whatever your have.

Place a small amount in a bag.  ( I got my small baggies at teh craft store in the bead section.)
Fold this tag in half and staple to bag.
Add a bag topper.

Have yoru kiddos sign the back and your finished.

Super easy and fun for your kiddos to make and do.

This topper will print as a 4x6.

Other great sayings to go with your gifts.
Here is another downloadable sheet of sayings for Neighbor gifts from Brassy Apple.

Hoping you find these as helpful as I did.
